This is a small and cozy place with good food and great service. We ordered takeout on Super Bowl Sunday and were pleased with the service and the quality of food. Being from out of town, we like to try small businesses and this is one we will come back to in the future.

Better than most pizza places! If you are a chef or are interested in each ingredient and where they are sourced, this may be for you. If you prefer big and cheap pizzas and don't care how clean a place is, that you are supporting a small local family business, or that the ingredients are healthy and fresh, than you won't be happy. If you expect it to taste like chain pizzas, also not going to happen. This is authentic. They use the real stuff. Chains douse pizza in tomato sauce and use less cheese cause that's their flavor and cheese costs too much. This place covers the pizza in expensive toppings, like chicken, ham, and bacon. That one is great! Or pepperoni & honey! Or Hawaiian! My kids appreciate various cheeses and are aware of canned mushrooms vs fresh, or garlic added or not. They don't even have garlic at US chain pizza places, on Italian pizza??!? Yes they take credit cards now. If they are closed and don't answer its likely due to a snow storm or perhaps the family is out sick or had an emergency. As they grow they will have more employees. They deliver only when the delivery person is there. Some patience & understanding is needed. If you are into amazing authentic food...you won't buy pizza anywhere else again! They use a real pizza oven, have recipes you won't find anywhere else, use quality fresh ingredients not canned!, it's all hand made to order, the dough is perfect, and the place is small & quiet. Once the word gets out, other pizza places will loose much business. A+ A fresh Hawaiian orchid is on each pizza center, such love and presentation! Great people too!!! Clean, organized cooking environment. My kids are hooked and now it's their #1. Mine too!
This is a GREAT family owned establishment! The pistachio pizza is delicious! Service was impeccable. It is a small space but the pizza oven and the decor is really cute! Check it out- if you are disappointed, then you don't know good pizza!
We got takeout today for the first time. Everything was absolutely delicious! We tried 4 different pizzas that were cooked to perfection...the mushroom truffle, cheese, pepperoni, and amore pizzas were the best pizzas we've had in Clayton and in the RDU area. Fresh ingredients, clean establishment, and friendly owner. 10/10 Can't wait to return!
Fantastic little pizza restaurant. Really good quality pizzas with perfect crusts and unique toppings. This is not your average pizzeria. The garlic knots are on the online menu and not the restaurant menu but if you ask for them they'll happily make them for you. I would definitely get them. They're made with sourdough dough and are super garlicky. Delicious. We had the pesto pizza with burrata and balsamic glaze. Was fantastic. And the truffle pizza, my husband loved it. Their tiramisu is really good too. Worth getting it even if you can't finish it all!
My boyfriend and I are in town visiting and we stopped here as it was super close to our hotel and had super good ratings! We were not disappointed. The place is very cute and the employees are nice. We started off with the pepperoni rolls and they were SO good. We both got our own pizzas and I got a cheese pizza with buffalo mozzarella cheese and jalapeños. My boyfriend got the smoked pizza and he loved the honey was super good on the pizza. If we were in the area again we will be stopping by.
This place was nice! The waitress was kind and friendly throughout the entire night. The menu has a variety of options to choose from al I'm sure everyone can find a pizza for themselves. I definitely enjoyed the 4 cheese pizza as it was light and I didn't get filled off just the bread. The ambience is nice, with conversations kept low so you aren't screaming to hear your date. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to try a new pizza place!
We just moved to the area and my husband is a pizza snob. We were looking for a new go to pizza spot and this was delicious!!! The Cacio E Peppe pizza was so good! The service was very quick for multiple pies. Will definitely be back!
A few weeks later and Amore Mio has been consistent and high quality. They're our gibts now for pizza in Clayton/Garner. Each of their boxes has a hand written kind note, putting a smile on our faces. A few weeks ago our very picky grandsons were visiting and so grandma left a note on the yelp order to remove Basil and another ingredient and make it as plain of a sauce, cheese, pepperoni (their loss) pizza as possible. Not only did they follow the instructions but the lid note said, "With love for your grandson." This weekend, yelp wasn't working right and orders could no longer be placed online. I called the restaurant and they offered to take the order over the phone or to use the Slice app. A quick install later, we were off to the races. And, maybe because of delays with Yelp-Grubhub or maybe batched delivery with multiple stops before getting to us, but the Slice delivery (restaurant straight to us) was quick and the pizza was still hot, crunchy, and extra tasty. "Now this is some f-ing great pizza" was our consensus. I prize consistency in my restaurants and it's not always easy to deliver or find. Amore Mio has provided an excellent experience every time across now more than a dozen orders.
